Save X videos on iPhone and Android with XDL
Most people meet a clip on their phone. XDL is fully responsive: bottom tab bar, fat paste targets, and the same free download path you get on desktop. No separate “mobile app tax.”
iPhone (Safari)
- In the X app, open the post → Share → Copy Link.
- Open Safari → xdl.to. Paste into the box (use PASTE if the clipboard is allowed).
- Pick MP4 or MP3 → Grab it.
- When the download is ready, open the file. Use Share → Save Video / Save to Files as your OS offers.
If paste is blocked, long-press the field and paste manually — iOS is strict about clipboard access unless you trigger it from a clear user gesture.
Android (Chrome)
- Copy the post link from the X app.
- Open Chrome → xdl.to → paste → format → Grab it.
- Open the finished file from the browser download sheet or your Downloads folder.
- From there, save to Gallery or share to any app.
Watching in the den on mobile
Playback in XDL’s player is signed-in with X. That is intentional: downloads stay free; watching builds a library and history you can reopen later. Use the You tab for settings and Library for re-grabs.
Mobile tips that actually matter
- Prefer MP4 for anything you will AirDrop or post elsewhere.
- Use Data saver in Settings if you are on a tight plan — lower default quality, less hover waste on desktop; on mobile it mainly keeps you honest about size.
- If a grab fails on cellular, retry on Wi‑Fi once — flaky CDNs show up as random errors more than as permanent blocks.
No install required
XDL is a website. Add it to your Home Screen if you want an icon; you still get the same xdl.to experience. The product is the paste → grab loop, not another app store listing.
Paste an x.com link — free download, no watermark.
